Grass-Fed Pork
Alexandre EcoDairy Farms prides itself in “Environmental Stewardship”.
It all begins by providing nutrients to our cows in the best way possible. Coastal organic grass pastures supply our cows with their basic diet. Of the nutrients consumed by our cows, about 20% are cycled into what you call milk. Milk is, after all, nature’s most perfect food. The other 80% of the nutrients pass through our cows and are given back to us in another form. We care for those nutrients with a natural aerobic processes, such as composting of the high cellulose materials and what you might call liquid composting, which produces a “Bioliquid” that is very nutritious for our soils. A key component in this process is the ability of aerobic microbes to store nitrogen and sulfur in their living protein so that it is carried back to the land in a beneficial way. This process protects our air and our water while transporting a balanced package of nutrients to enhance our soils. Once the nutrients are properly returned to the soil the natural cycle or “Life Cycle” is complete, just like nature intended.
The milk products you enjoy today are nature’s gift. We are proud to be one of the caretakers in this process.

All manure solids are composted to preserve the nutrient content and used as fertilizer for the organic fields.
