Organic Pastured Pork
Our certified organic pigs are a cross between a rare breed of Tamworth hogs, selected hundreds of years ago for their superior taste and texture, and the speckled Berkshires. While these hogs take longer to grow, we believe they are well worth the wait. They produce a most tender meat that is arguable the best tasting pork on earth. Our hogs are a true grazing animal that prefers open pastures, access to dirt to root and wallow where they eat various grasses and vegetation. They are raised in large pastures where they exercise to their hearts content and socialize with other hogs and people on the farm. The pigs love living outside where they get to run and play with access to forages and grasses to eat and root around in. Rooting allows them to cool down by laying and coating themselves with dirt. In addition to rooting and grazing, we feed our hogs a special diet with whole grains and minerals. They are free of any hormones, steroids, antibiotics, growth stimulants, and chemicals of any kind. The result is a pure product that is safe, nutritious, and flavorful.

Cows were born to roam and graze. Chickens were born to roost, scratch, and scavenge. Hogs were born to root and wallow. These are the natural instinctive behaviors of our animals. Our farm has a commitment to making sure these practices remain a part of the daily behavior of each one of our cows, chickens, and pigs.
